Less vs. More

It’s been a few weeks since my last blog so here’s the new topic. Less vs. More

I search the internet, on a regular basis, looking to see what other linen companies do.  After seeing so much glitz, sequins and metallic threads, I have now confirmed by belief that less is more. There is definitely something to be said about beautiful fabrics, classics lines and subtle details. The dramatic elegance of Duppion silk, Irish linen or any other fine fabric is clearly enough to make that perfect statement, add understated niceties of inverted pleats, welting and the look is complete.

I actually have incorporated the “less is more” philosophy in my day to day living. How many pairs of shoes or handbags does one need?? Asked that question some years back, my answer would emphatically be “you could never have enough!” Today…not so much. I usually wear the same comfortable shoes everyday and I never find the time to switch my handbag, which actually translates to no desire to clean out my handbags and go thru the collection of accumulated receipts.

The only discrepancy with my new mantra is that you can never have enough of black tops…t-shirts, turtlenecks, sweaters, long or short sleeves..The list goes on and on.

So, as I continue to be a work in progress, it’s now time to go sort out my closet…
